What kind of Appaloosa?

Hi! I've been guessing for a while how this horse's coat is called.. She my friend's mare, and we suppose she's Appaloosa (or an appy cross something!) are we right? someone told us she was a criollo x quarter but I see too much appy in her! what do you think??

Yes, this is an appaloosa trait. You will continue to see coat changes throughout her life. She may end up nearly white with a few colored/speckled spots here and there, and color on her legs. Its a very interesting coat color.

roan. varnish roan . she could get whiter .

She is double patterned -varnish roan, and blanket, although she is roaned out so far it is hard to tell she started out with a blanket. If you look closely, there is visual evidence of a blanket on the top of her rump, and most of all she doesn't have the classic varnish mark on the point of the hip, which the blanket covered...
