They look like they would fit just like any other spur...

Aha i see now.. notice the back of the boot has a (hook?) no, not hook.. but a bump that holds it in place. My current boots don't have that, but thankfully, I just had a couple made at joel albert with those hooks (i looked clueless when he asked me how far up did I want to have mine -- it all makes sense now lol)

A spur rest isn't essential though.
