Pyranha spray review?

I got pyranha fly spray for my horse and before I used it I wanted to know what everyone thinks of it! Also would it work as well for my horse since he is in a pasture not a stall? Thanks

I loove it! I usually see it at shows though because it also seems to help horses' coats shine( i think because it's oil based). I use it all the time though and my horse never has any flies around him and it seems to work most of the day.

It does work well but do a test area first.
I have some horses who cannot tolerate any oil based sprays. It causes them to drop & roll like crazy & even after washing it off ASAP they had lifting flaking skin & itching.

Two of my 3 horses broke out in massive welts with it, so spray a small area first to see how your horse can deal with it. :S learned that lesson the hard way.

Very good to know. My two react fine to it, but I didn't know it could cause such reactions.

The barn I train for uses and likes it. Some of my farrier's clients have told him it's working really well this year, but I haven't tried it on my personal horses.

Has anyone noticed their horses heat up quicker with it? I was thinking about this the other day...oil heats up rather easily and gets VERY hot. I wonder if this spray would do this due to it being oil based?

It's the only thing I use!

Works wonderfully for my mom's gelding, but gives mine hives. I just recommend doing a test area first. I had a separate fly spray, but I ran out and my mom covered my horse in the Pyrannha without testing it. Poor boy was covered in hives and rolling/itching his mane out for a few days after a rinse.

Works great for the other gelding though. I would recommend it! For any spray you try, I would do a test first, to be safe.

Worked well enough on my lease horse, but doesn't repel a thing on my own horse.
