This is Roxy, my 6 year old QH mare. What do you think about her conformation for barrels? She was a twin and I think i stunted her growth, as she is very short. 14 hands if she is lucky. I have not started her on the pattern yet, we have been working with one barrel, spiraling in and out, working on pockets and rating. She is very good about using her butt to get around the barrel. She also loves to go. I have been breezing her on the sandy road by the house, about a mile long. She absolutely loves that, and is very fast.
Also, what color would look good on her?Attachment 237738
And the last few pictures are old, her feet have been trimmed
I don't see any screaming flaws on her, except that her back is a little long. Not necessarily a bad thing for a barrel horse.
She's put together fairly nice for 14 hands.
With her color, you could do just about any color: Red, Blue, Lime Green, Pink, White. I'm a sucker for turquoise myself.
Agreed with Beau, I don't see anything wrong with her. She should be just fine doing barrels. I like her hip and shoulder.
Sorrels look good in anything really, so whatever color you want would be just fine.
she looks very good legs look clean and nice no sign of club foot has healthy looking legs has nice looking muscle in her but and legs. I think a good color that would look good on her is turquoise or a light blue.
