I thought I would share these photos from a local farm and they are using this poor yearling filly in horse camp....

That's gross. That poor animal should be out in a field playing not actually working. I dont care how small the child is.

I know these people personally and in a few months, she will probably be ridden by a full sized adult

I feel like that should be considered almost abuse. Maybe not... But they are going to have a lot of issues with that horse id they keep it up.

I am okay with wearing light tack every now and then, light saddle, back band, even our pants-full-of-straw, but not a child.

I can't believe the parents continue to patronize these inconsiderate. abusive, and uncaring people's business - is that what they want to have their children participate in - abuse? It is disgusting.

Perhaps they truly don't know. Backwoods horse owners "not seeing nothing" wrong it, or having been raised like that. Hopefully someone in the family breaks the chain and seeks out knowledge.
