Let's see those Duns!
Buckskin, grulla, red dun, you name it let's see it!
I'll start with my dark dun Wiski!
Here's Thunder my 3 year old Mustang. These are from 3/9/09....practicing the crossties. I tried to add more, but for some reason it wont let me.
Fantastic pictures everyone!! And BEAUTIFUL horses! Duns are so lovely. :-)
That's just not fair Rissa LOL
Hehe. He is a very pretty boy.
Here is my buckskin whoknows really pony Ethan.
In the middle of summer.
Rissa you are an excellent photographer! You must use a really nice camera
This is belle. Not the best picture...sorry.
This be Toby.
He's looking at the donkey next door, who was braying crazily XD
He's so freaking adorable.
Don't you love the homemade blue tape/aluminum foil/napkin blinders?
He is a Fjord/Shetland cross. He's cowhocked, has a bad chest/neck connection, and a beautimus roman nose. He's 10 years old, and was a former pony wheel slave. He loves to go in circles, but I want him to walk straight and pull a cart XD Oh, and he used to be about 100 pounds heavier. He was a nasty looking plug before I got him on a feeding program and in training.
The last pic is of him preparing to pull a log for the first time last week. The first three are from today, when I had him stand still. He stood, looking around for about 10-15 minutes. I figured out how to get him to listen to me when I want him to stand still. He was "trained" by a gruff old man, and I found that if I lower my voice, speak deeply, and kind of grunt "no", he won't move a muscle XD
He is an evil pony, don't let his looks fool you.
I am training him to be an all around children's pony, a cart- pulling pony, and a lunge-line master for the beginner riders at my barn.
On the lungeline today. He did many walk to canter transitions perfectly :D
My favorite pic of him.
