Anyone Play any musical Instruments?

Just curious is anyone plays any musical instruments! If so what are your favorite pieces and what got you into it? If not what would you like to play? :-)

In order that I learned I play:
String Bass/Electric Bass -- not really a favorite peice..... music teacher taught me when I first joined the school orchestra because I was the only person who chose to play the bass
Classical Guitar -- Classical Gas: my mother played and I grew up with it, finally picked it up when I rediscovered her old guitar, taught myself and only seldom asked her for help
Cello -- Bach's suites (nuff said ), Pirates of the carribean music (what I can find), there's another one but I cant remember the name! :( Always loved it and taught myself how to play with the schools cellos during breaks or free time. Desperately sought my own but lacked funds until someone heard about my plight and donated a cello to me for me to finally own my own instrument

Dabbled a bit in:
Piano
Violin

Just curious and wanting to see what all you guys are into! :)

I used to be pretty good with an alto saxophone.

But haven't held one in years, I played about ten years straight. Yes I'm old lol.

My triumph was playing my great grandfathers alto. It was a trophy sax, custom made engraved silver. he was a polka player of epic proportion. It was sooo cool to play his sax. It was 100yrs old then.....

Holy cow! That sax sounds amazing! That's awesome! I always kinda wanted to learn sax (or any wind instrument) but it's just never been feasible! And hey don't worry about being 'old', as my grandmother says: "Old is a state of mind, I'm only old when i want someone to think I'm 10x smarter than what I actually am." :D

It's an amazing sax, just looking at it is stunning. And the sound is for angels. But alas, I chose rough housing and such over the arts.

I played violin probably close to 15 years ago now lol.
Picked up a French horn soon after and never looked back. Haven't played consistently for a few years unfortunately :(

Piano and acoustic guitar

I played the flute in like 7th grade

Not sure how your grading works... we have 1-8. I played Bb clarinet to grade 5, but haven't played in 6 years. Also played the bass clarinet in our 'concert' band at school and did lots of well.. concerts!

Dabbled with piano to grade 2, but I didn't enjoy it all that much.

And of course.. everyone's favourite.. the recorder!

I play guitar, both electric and acoustic. I play oboe. I play Native American flute. I sing and write songs. I play a little bit of sax as well as a little bit of keyboards, but I am not that great at those.

I love to play blues and jazz guitar. I enjoy a little folk music as well.

I play electric and acoustic guitar- i love guitar! I played around with electric bass but i dont think my fingers are big enough, lol. :-P

I play around on the drums a little for fun but not a professional with them-- i have mastered twirling the sticks if anyone takes interest in that. :-P

My friends brother had all the band equipment and id always go play with it when he wasnt paying attention.. then he just taught me to play.. persistence! ;-)

Id like to know how to play violin- its so classy.

I've played the flute since 5th grade, so been playing for something like 17 years or so. About the same time my parents finally gave in and got me a horse lol. I've played the piccolo, the bass flute, and the oboe. I'd love to play the piano, but having the two hands playing completely different things is just beyond my brain power. Most everyone in my family has played an instrument.

I played in marching band in high school before quitting my senior year because our director sucked. I do still get my flute out and play occasionally, used to play every Christmas with my gramma on the piano, but she passed away two years ago, and it's been a little hard to play again, as all my music is stuff we got to play together.

I feel bad about not playing, after my mom and dad splurged my junior year of high school, and got me a REALLY nice flute with custom butterfly mouth piece, so I still try and play a song or two every once in a while. When I have kids, I'll probably play a little bit more, and hopefully they'll be as into horses and band as I was. Here's hoping lol.
