Event saddle?

I am currently eventing my Thoroughbred gelding at BN and N and schooling Training. Although I love my close contact dearly, I am 5'10" and all leg, especially hip to knee, and my knees hang over the flaps a good two or three inches. Does anyone have any recommendations as to a very forward/long flap event saddle? We are on a budget, so something very long/forward off the rack would be ideal. My horse has an average back, just a tad bit high-withered, and I really have no preferences as to monoflap vs. traditional, materials, color, brand, etc.

Any help anyone could offer would be much appreciated! Thanks and happy riding!
:-)

Bates...all the way. I like their older verision rather than the new one as I feel the new one has a more "popular" appeal and is less of a true event saddle. The Bates Caprilli Event is what I would recommend for your long legs and with the CAIR and changeable gullet, is a great saddle for you and your horse. (I've posted on the Bates saddles quite a bit so will not repeat ;) ).

Good luck!

I have a Wintec CC that I love to jump in. The poor mans Bates, hehe. I love it and I have rather long lanky legs and it fits me really well.

I have had mine for over 5 years now, in black and I just hose it off every now and then, looks brand new. The equileather is really holding up quite well and I ride in the saddle 3 or 4 times a week in the hot Aussie sun too!
