Any help with my memory please?
I recently bought a horse from a dealer, who obviously had no idea of the horse's history or origins. He only said that the horse was a QH Appy cross, which I thought was right because he was the Appy tail, and white skin spots on his nose, eyes, under his tail, and on his sheath. His attitude just reminded me of past Quarter Horses I've known, so I didn't think much of it until today. As I was grooming him, I was brushing his face, and that is when I noticed how curved his nose was, and I instantly remember reading somewhere on the internet about some sort of horse and people thought that that horse was an ancestor of this other horse because a little above the nostrils, the nose curved downwards... now gosh darnit, I can't remember where I read that, so I've been looking all over, but I still can't find it. I could have sworn I saw it at the Abaco Barb wesite ( but I can't find it now. Has anyone seen it, or know what I'm even talking about? Here's a picture of him...

You really have to try and ignore the halter, but it's the best one to show what I'm talking about that I have right now. He has no markings, or brands, and he's just a blue roan all over with brown legs and brown on his face.

He's definetly a..umm...cremello tb x gypsy vanner. Lmao. I think this boy should be deemed a TBxAppy, since he doesn't really have the structure of the Appy, and we know he has the attitude of one, and he's got the flighty response of the tb, and the bone structure. Then again, maybe he's Mustang. Or...or..a chinese warmblood! Yeah, that's definetly it. xD

can you show us his whole body?

A moose nose like your horse has could come from anywhere, its not such an uncommon feature. I think it would be difficult to attach it to a specific ancestor or breed.

He could very well be a qh x appy, lots of horses have dished faces like that.
Oh, and I dont think he is a blue roan; his face would be black. He's a dappled gray.

No, he's definetly not one of those, he's fine-boned and fairly small, probably only at 14.3, maybe 15 hands. And it's not a dished nose he has, it's almost like a Roman nose, but not so prominent. Maybe these will help.

I don't have any real good one's of his face, sorry.

my qh/appy had a roman nose. he could be a qh/appy in which the qh had alot of TB blood in him.
