Degenerative Suspensory Ligament Disease- DSLD?

My horse was recently diagnosed w/ this......He is a 21 yo TB.
Does anyone else have a horse with DSLD? I would like to know more about the progression of the disease from a owners stand point.....my vets are not familiar with it.
Any info would be great!
