I have a mare that overreaches with her back feet. I had here in regular easy boots and she constantly lost them. So I put her in easy boot epics and she ripped 3 gaiters in half with her back feet just walking! I want to keep her bare foot but I"m not sure which boots to put her in now?? I have been looking at either the easyboot trails or the cavallo simple boots. Can someone help please!!

What do her feet currently look like minus boots? Pictures would help. A slimline boot like a renegade would be better and you can put a bell boot over it and get the cut back option but its possible there is a hoof form issue that is causing this. I have gaited horses with huge overstride and they do not rip boots off unless its a rare situation.

Pictures would be great. Her conformation and the way your farrier is trimming her could have problems with the pulling the boots off. Try putting bell boots on with your easy boots...etc. This can help with over reaching and protect her bulbs of her heels.

Hi, yes pics & more info, but I think you need to get to the bottom of it before just trying different boots. Eg is it due to long toes/ delayed break over, is it a body issue? Have you had a body worker to check the horse out?

I agree with loosie maybe your farrier can trim her a little different so her front feet break over quicker and get out the way of her back feet.
