Someone else here probably has more advice, but I'll give what I know
Half halts-give a small squeeze on the reins to bring the horse up under himself more, but keep your leg on to keep him up and forward.
If he gets out of control use a one rein stop; more effective than two rein in stopping something too crazy. Pull on one rein to get the horse to give his head that way, while also pushing his hindquarters over with your inside leg.
