Club footed and how bad?
I didn't think we had this issue but now looking at it....how is this usually managed? The attached pic is of the right front.
I dont see a club foot anywhere, I see a very poorly managed broken back LEFT front foot with a deficient and underrun heel and a very run away toe. Its no coincidence this horse is pointing that foot a bit. It probably holds it in front as it grazes also. They also call this Hi low. Its the low foot with the problem.
Agreed, the right front seems to have correct angle for the structures but that left front....wow. The entire hoof is run forward with too-long toe and no heel.
Got new shoes and pads today, will post a picture update. My farrier brought the toes back quite a bit. The other pics were of his first attempt to correct but he wanted to not chop off too much too quick.
