New pix of Koda. :)
Here are some new pix of Koda. He has really bulked up and gotten fat since last time I was home. But I just love his personality. He only has maybe 60 rides scattered out here and there since August and I just threw my saddle on him and loped off without a problem. He is such a sweetie. He looks a little upset with me in some of the pix cause I just gave him his first ever bath and he did not enjoy it. Don't mind the braids, I am trying to train his mane to stay on one side and had no bands so I had to make do with string. Also, ignore his short tail. Last time I was home, he had a huge rat from level with his stifle down. After hours of trying to get it out, I gave up and just cut it. It kinda makes him look off balance. :)
No, these are not his ribs. Those lines are where his hair dried funny. :)
Oh, and please don't comment on his feet. I know they really need work. He has not even been caught since January and they were a litte long when I turned him out.
Aw, pretty boy! Love his marking on his face. Cutecute.
awww. what a gorgeous horse! I love your braids :) and the hair what looks like ribs... he has a beautiful face :D
Aww! Precious boy. I loveee what you did to his hair. It looks adorable!
He's adorable. What a thick horse he is  :D
Why thank you everyone. I had to improvise with his braids. The base of his mane is so wide that it is starting to split down the middle and fall on both sides of his neck. I wanted to braid it to the one side hopefully to get it all to stay on that side, however, I had no bands. I had to make do with string from feed sacks. :) And CDT, yes he is very thick. Everything about him is just odd: short back, short neck, short legs, huge head and huge feet. He is in the 14.2hh range and wears a size 2 shoe when his feet are done. O.O What is really scary is that he is actually a lot smaller than my other one :).
Awww, beautiful horse! And beautiful braids! :D
That is funny about the mane splitting as my Mustangs mane does that too, it is so thick and heavy it just goes where it wants too. I have tried everything to get it to lay to one side but no such luck....I love the Oster mane/tail brush it really gets the stubborn knots out... Love your guy he is a real cutie: )
I just realized looking at the photo he really needs his feet done.
I think that's awesome that you've done so well with him! His feet are probably growing like crazy, too. He's been used to naturally wearing them down.
