Pony Limping :( HELP
Hi, I have a 11.2hh welsh pony. She has a light limp on here right for leg. We have had her 8 months and she has had this before but after a week of rest it goes and 1-2 months later comes back. There is NO swelling or tenderness, in fact she is very happy to run the paddock around and before we knew she was sore we rode her we only noticed when she was trotting and cantering she was favoring he right front leg? She looks to be in no pain and we can not feel anything at all but this is not the first time it's happened. She also is very thin over the wither and back bone but has a round belly and is being fed hard feed and hay with quite enough grass. Weather is mild over 15 Degrees. She is wormed recently and having her teeth done this weekend does anyone have any ideas of why she may be limping and thin over the wither? she seems in NO pain but I guess you never know. she does tend to buck ALOT so I think a bit of Chiropractor work may help? thanks:-P we do not have tons of money eaither but we will do what we need to do to get her better.

Get the vet out yesterday.

It sounds like there is multiple issues that need to be addressed. If she is limping, she will be in some amount of pain. No swelling doesn't mean there isn't anything there.

Vet to check out leg, back and do a worm count minimum to see why she has either a large/swollen stomach. Check out leg and back area. After that, check saddle fit and have a chiro to look at her back.

Just my opinion.
