Critique my horses' conformation, please :)
Hello everyone, I am new here. My name is Audrey and I have five horses. They're all Quarter Horse geldings. This is just one of my horses. I'll get pictures of the other four when I get the chance.
Discipline: Team Roping (head horse)
His showmanship set I taught him in a day :)
& of course he moved his back leg. Oh well!
I am aware he's standing in a pile of poop, haha.
He looks like he toes out a little bit in the front and his pasterns are a bit upright. All in all, a very nice looking horse especially for his age. Nice broad chest and big butt. Pretty boy.
He looks great for 22. Toes out a bit, but overall hes' very nice looking.
He is NOT 22!! OMG! He looks wonderful.
No one believes me when I say he's 22. He's turning 23 this year. I have a 34 year old also.
He looks great! I like his build.
*He seems a bit base narrow to me. See how his legs dont come quite straight out of his shoulders and are closer together rather than straight down from his chest?
*He also toes out. His toes are turned to face the outside rather than straight. He will wing his feet out.
*His pasterns seem to be too short and upright. They should be more sloping and of medium length.
*He seems to be either post legged or camped out behind. His hocks and canons are straight in a line, causing stress and they seems to be a bit behind his rump.
*Again, short and upright pasterns... but hey, most horses always have some sort of pastern fault.
*Overall he seems to have a nice build. Especially for 22 :)
*He has nice defined withers and a muscular body.
*Good shoulder, but a tad ewe necked...so was my old pony.
*He stand under...but almost every single QH does that :P
He seems to be GREAT =) for 22! I think hes VERY cute and has a very nice little body. The things I posted above were just for critique sake. Hardly any of the faults will/have affected him. Seems to be a lovely sweet boy.
Thanks for letting us look at his conformation!
Thanks for the critiques everyone! :)
His front feet look long to me as well.
Great looking horse though!
