Finally figured out how to bend!
I'm so happy about yesterday's lesson. My goal for the lesson was to try to bend Dakota around the turns at the canter. Until yesterday, he would bend okay at the trot, but when I cantered he would run around the ring with his nose to the wall, all stiff and counterbent. So yesterday, he was bending reaally well at the trot. Then I asked him to canter and it was as if he suddenly understood!! I used a lot of inside leg but I only really had to correct him a few times. I was so proud of him because he was working really hard to get the bend for me. Lots of pats for him. xD By the time we jumped, he was exhausted, so that was kind of a fail. But I'm soo happy we both were able to figure it out. :D

You have discovered the secret to getting one thing by working through another gait. I have said before that you get the best canter from the best trot.
