$25 for trims
Don't know about shoes, neither of my current horses have ever had shoes.

The very same here - Welcome to the forum, by the way! :)

Mine used to charge me 25 for trims, and 75 for 4 shoes. I have recently started to shoe my own though! It may take me longer to get the job done but it gets done properly! My farrier was not correcting my mares long toes and underruning heels! This way It costs less and her feet are already improving!

0.0 my vet trims my horses. and its 50$ for a trim.. not sure about shoes.. he's never shoed. I know that my old farrier. was 35 trim and 70 or 80 for all shoes.

In PA I paid 25 for a trim from any given farrier.

In my area of CA, research says 40/horse.

I paid the equine hospital over 200 for an eval, no US, for corrective shoes (glue on) for my pony's 2 hinds.

Cheap rarely equals good. What continued education does your farrier do? Where was the last hoof care summit, when he wasn't available as he was there? How available is he to you in winter? Or is he flown out to Florida by his show clients?

Personally, I'd rather pay, as it's not about money - it's about the questions I just listed. I pay $200 for 4 shoes, no idea what a trim costs as I don't do it.
