Well if by fun you mean work, then yes :P
I have my working walk pirouettes for second level, and of course I ride with my coach a few weeks ago and she's like "Good, now smaller and COLLECT YOUR HORSE". She has some strange delusion that I'm going to do the 6 year olds with my horse this year haha :P And for that I need real pirouettes.

LOL! I didn't teach this horse his pirouettes so its pretty easy to collect him. I guess thats why I find it fun cuz hes so good about it. My trainer used to do them in the Grand prix jumpers for hard turns. My green tb its very hard to do on. Shes like "NO I wanna run!"

In Jumping - they are called Roll Backs.

Nooooo a roll back is not a pirouette
This is a piroutette.
This is a rollback
A rollback is a tight turn a piroutte is cantering in place.

Come on Dressage fans back me up!

trissacar you're somewhat right. a pirrouette and a rollback is not the same thing, however a pirrouette is not really cantering in place. though i know what you're trying to say, lol.

Yes. There actually is a cantering in place but it looks different.
In a piroutte the horse collects to an extreme and goes more up and down then forward.
In a rollback you do need collection then you have to move up for the jump.
