Looking for dressage books
I am looking to build up my collection of dressage related books. I have all the 101 Exercises books, but I want to find some more books that have more detail about the mechanics of movements/aids etc. Less pictures more words!

What dressage books would you all recommend?

Thanks :)

I love Centered Riding by Sally Swift.

I was going to suggest Sally Swift as well! :)

I also recommend Dressage in the Fourth Dimension.

That book talks about imagery for developing a seat, but not about training.

A simple one: Walter Zettl's Dressage in Harmony. For more in depth: Podhajsky/Seunig/Museler. A rider come trainer has to know WHY to choose a given exercise, the effects of the exercise, not just how to do them but when to do them.

"Dressage for the not so perfect horse" was one I really enjoyed reading. Once I get my kindle out I can say who it was written by

I love Principles of Riding by the German National Equestrian Federation.

There is a new book coming out about the biomechanics of elementary has illustrations for the different movements...I see the advertisement for it all the time in "Dressage Today" magazine...if anybody knows anything about it, please let me know as I have not been able to find it in any book stores.

It's by Janet Foy. I was going to suggest that one too. Very good book.

Ride with Your Mind Clinic has it:
I admit I haven't read this one myself..starting my own book list, however, this one was recommended, along with the Sally Swift books and the 101 Exercises book, from a Grand Prix level rider and the one that helped me find Rigo :)
