Well I'm pretty new to horse ownership...so I haven't had very many things happen. One day I was petting my horse and huge clumps of hair came out in my hands off his back. Well, I thought it was rain rot....turns out it was just shedding :lol:

Woops! LOL! One of mine was when I was in my first lesson and the horse i was on fell asleep in the middle of the lesson! I couldn't wake her up so the instructor had to wake her up! I dare any horse to do that now! (lol)

i would say mine is a blooper/burn on me. the last time i went and worked with Calvin i was grooming after we got done riding and my dad was leaning on the tree that Calvin was crossed tied to... so my dad was rubbing Calvins head and he goes you can not touch his ears i was not paying any attention because i was picking out feet and go i can but he pulls away. so m dad reached up and rubbed his ears and i was like whatever so i did the same and Calvin pulled away. i told my dad we was just lucky that Calvin liked him. so i got burned by a horse.

Haha, the other day I went in the stall, tossed on the halter and tried to lead the horse out. Ben didn't budge! I gave a pull, then a yank, and I was about to get annoyed when I realized the lead rope was stuck on the water bucket, it wasn't even attached to him!

I was mounting a horse I used to part-board, and as I was swinging my right leg over she stepped swiftly to the left, and I ended up flat on my back on the ground to the right of her. It knocked the wind out of me, and my friend, who was conveniently watching from a few feet away, burst out laughing (without bothering to ask if I was ok.. hmphhh). I was... just a tad embarassed. The mare just looked at me as if she was thinking, "Now what on earth are you doing down THERE??"

I was galloping my mare up the hill that passes the arena at the barn I used to board at. Not realizing that there were a bunch of girls vaulting in the arena. As their horse was coming around the lunge line in our direction my mare ducked out to the right (the ring was on the left) and I landed in the ditch full of mud right next to the ring in front of about 15 girls, 30 parents, and 10 little siblings. My horse kept galloping for about 100 feet until she realized I wasn't on her back any more and stopped to graze.

Well, a couple of years ago I was riding a very obese old quarter horse that was trained on barrels and cattle in his younger days. I was riding him bareback in a feild and we were galloping around a bend when he noticed one of the barrels set out, I wasnt expecting it and he went around it. Well, Im very short and my legs didnt have a great grip, so needless to say, he went right, and I flew left. He stopped walked towards me as I was knocked out of wind on the ground while my friend Jessica sat laughing on the fence. Was acctually quite funny, I was crying and laughing at the same time!

How about the time I went out to feed the horses. As usual they were standing near the gate waiting. So I fed them, cleaned the barn and then went right back to the house. The next day, I went to feed the horses and found them standing right where the gate SHOULD have been closed! Whoops! Good thing my horses like where they live.

Last year, I was doing a ride with several of my horse friends. We were in a huge pasture & we were looking for a lost cow. My son, 1 of my friends & I were on 1 side & pausing for a few minutes in a clearing. Well, Bella started to do that shake, you know the 1 like a dog, right @ the same time a bug decided to bite her butt! So here she is shaking & crow-kicking...I remember laughing, then the next thing I know, I'm on my hands & knees right next to her! Luckily she stopped to eat a bit of grass. I guess next time I won't laugh...lol
