Got art supplies and need some refrences

I feel like I've been the floating user for a while now. I kind of go on these off and on points. Anyhow I have been working here and there on my artwork without any motivation after I finished my project of doing all different subjects. Now I'm back getting into what ever I feel like drawing, and horses once again have been my main subject.

If I have some people wanting me to make stuff for them specifically I might get a fire lit under my butt to keep at it. I'm also getting to the point that I am willing to sell what I draw if you want it at a low price plus shipping. I have started to have people asking me to send them the stuff I do. So I might as well off it. The small price would help me to keep my art supplies stocked.

So submit pictures! =D Once again, for those who do not know general rules for submitting pictures to be drawn:
  • Clear pictures please, NOT BLURRY
  • Bigger, close up pictures are best (please don't stretch the board though)
  • Please make sure the subject is not heavily shadowed. (can't see details)
  • Make sure the subject to be drawn is not cropped off (half face…nose out of picture…ect)
  • Any subject (any animal…inantimate object) I will take
  • If I can't draw from the picture I am sorry but I won't draw from it

I will try to get to as many as possible. I work mostly with Charcoal or pencils. Though I did just get good colored pencils I am going to start to experiment with. Here are a few examples of my latest work :

Can you draw this for me? I will post a few that you can choose from. I would probably like to buy one if you draw it. You don't have to draw me in it if you don't want to!

Yay! =)

I really like the 3rd one, I wish your hair hadn't of fallen into your face though! I have a lot of experience drawing people but it would be great practice for me. That one or the 2nd one for a horse head shot only. It could be a back up if the one with you doesn't turn out to the quality I would want.

Do you have a larger copy of those on your computer you could send me through an email or something?

on the contrary, when the hair covers one eye, you only have to DO one, and you don't have to worry about them "matching" I love portraits with the hair halfway across the face!

Which is an excellent point but at the stage I'm at I have a very hard time shaping faces, when its blocked by hair I have a hard time structuring the face trying to imagine whats under the hair. My imagination tends to fail in helping me out with that. I wait for the day I don't have to rely on seeing most of the skeleton structure.

I'm definitely going to give it a go though.

I want to see if this turns out any bigger...

Here's two of mine.(:
Whichever one suits you better is fine, I love both of them. I'm just not positive if the one with me riding is clear enough, I chose the clearest of the couple I got that day, lol.

I am VERY interested in buying a drawing from you of the dog I grew up with that recently passed. The last one is my favorite but if it's not good quality then any of them would be fine if your up to it.

this photo, with the "far away look" of his eye, with all the background stuff removed, will make an excellent portrait. Go for it! I will cheer you on.

you might remove, or reduce the size of the collar, too.

paintluver - That is perfect! Thanks for grabbing a larger picture for me, makes it so much easier.

Iseul - I think I would like to take a stab at the riding picture, a rider with tack would be good practice, but due to the quality of the photo it is going to be a little difficult for me so it might just be a fast sketch.

Tiffrmcoy - I'm going to have to agree with Tinyliny. I very much like that top image. I'm sorry for your loss and would be honored to give it a go.
