Dually Halter?

My Aunt sent me a pair of these halters used in Monty Roberts training. I was just wondering what everyone thought about them. Are they worth using or is a stud chain basically the same thing?

Also, Are Monty Roberts' Join Up techniques good?

wow, thats a nice halter, but ive honestly never seen one of them before. is it just used for more control and what not?

those are really good halters...a stud chain would be pretty much the same, but this is less agressive...

A girl at my barn has one of these and really likes it.
A stud chain, I use to get the horses attention back on me. I think this would be used (don't quote me because I am guessing) to give the horse direction which I don't like to do with a stud chain.

As far as join up, I quite like it.

I've seen it, but frankly I don't see the necessity to use it if your horse listens to you. I agree though it's a better alternative to the stud chain.

My horse tends to be a bit naughty and distracted at times so I think I might go ahead and use this

Is there anything on Monty Roberts website that talks about it?

ETA: I just looked...apparently if you get it off his website, it comes with an instruction booklet.

Just went to the Monty Roberts website and he teaches how to use to Dually Halter and has a lot of great videos that you can watch for free actually.. It's kind of cool, check it out!

Monty Roberts Join Up, Man Who Listens to Horses, Real Horse Whisperer, Books, Biography, Train, Demonstrations, Flag is Up

Ouch I just saw how much my aunt spent on those halters! $44 each...
