Acco Safe and Sound
I'm thinking of trying Acco Safe and Sound. The only two brands we have here are Acco and Purina. My horse did not maintain well on the Purina Enrich 32. I've been driving a 4 hour round trip to go get Triple Crown but that is just too ridiculous. They also get grass hay 3 times a day now and I'm hoping to do free choice on round bales in a month or two when I get set up for it. Has anyone used the Safe and Sound? Good or bad?

between those two go with the Purina Ultium... the Acco Safe and Sound is the same as Nutrena's Safe Choice :)

hotreddun 04-28-2009 05:14 PM don't think the Ultium will be too much energy content for a "semi-retired maintenance" type horse?

it is lower then what you are looking at ;) and fixed formula

I find feeding labels so cryptic. Help me with my math Peggy. I think its telling me I would have to feed 3lb twice a day minimum with Ultium or 1.5lbs twice a day with Safe and Sound. 1200 lb horse...maintenance.
