Critique Hero's Confo and Lines
Here is his pedigree
Native Hero Thoroughbred
*Note some of these photos are when I was purchasing him he has gain so much weigh since then!
What do you think he be good for? I want to learn dressage so we are working on stretching his neck with some exercises and bending.
He has a lovely headset at the canter (which I can't believe we are doing already) but everything else he is high headed.
He is 15.2 I believe but not sure I'm 5'4..anywho I would love to jump him also but he is older (13) and has never been ridden after he raced which surprises me because he listens so well.
He is cute!!! From the first pictures i would say his neck dips, but the new pics you have of him, his neck is not as bad, gained that weight and it helped. I think you could jump him, at 13 he is just getting into his prime. I could see lower level dressage in him. I think he could use more muscle, thats about it in my opinion. He is a cute boy =)
this is another photo they sent me..the previous owner had him off grain so when i got him he was pretty thin and still is thin
I think hes lovely. but yeah looks like he needs a bit more muscle to him. Im sure hes got good potential.
he is very thin...feed out hay, sugerbeet and fibre sure. thats the recipie ive found for wieght gain. he really needs condition and yeah, if you feed him up hell look lovely, he just looks quite a bit run down, ill post pics of my horse when I got him, and hes almost back to normal now, very shiny after that food I said!
looked like this, and when I trialed him he was like this
that was when he was staying at my friends place, after I trialled him he went back to the old place for a little bit he came back like this, I didnt even know it was the same horse!
im still trying to get him back to his former self
He is very cute, and the second last photo you posted looks good, lovely shinny coat.
He really needs weight and muscle! I would get him on a really good complete feed plus hay. I wont ever judge the conformation of an underweight horse as the pics show it can be very misleading
Thanks! I'll post photos up after a few months of riding and good eating.
He just learned to crib off his stable buddy so thats another challenge.
The first photos were taking recently with my cell phone so they dont do him justice while the last ones look good he was super skinny there just good "angles"
