Protective Vests?
243 Attachment(s)
Because of my horrible week, I've decided to start looking into protective vests, ha! I looked on smartpak and it looks like the Tipperary Eventer Vest is highly rated and a top seller...These things are pretty expensive though so I'd love input on ones you've used!

One of my friend's uses a intec vest which is cheaper than tipperary and she has not had any problems with it ;)

Oooo I saw that one too and it looked nice! Just didn't have as many reviews, but thanks for letting me know its working well for her! I'm trying to get my cash together to send my horse to a trainer so I want to make sure I get my moneys worth since I don't have much to spare for this!

I have an intec I got used from ebay. Very comfortable, took a fall off a 17hh horse in it and it most definitely did it's job. (:

After having recently fallen off and bruised some ribs despite wearing a highly rated vest, I would never wear a Tipperary with that ribbed design it has. Too many weaknesses in that design.

I'd never spend so much money on Tipperary. It's very expensive and offers no real protection IMHO (it's not rated either). I got Woof, and I like it. Airowear is also very comfy (I tried it on in Dover) and light (although more expensive than Woof).

I have the Tipperary Eventer vest and I love it ! It is very light feeling and I don't notice it while riding. It is much lighter than the Charles Owen vests. I have fallen it twice without any injury or getting the wind knocked out of me. I got mine from SmartPak. I would not suggest getting the off brand ones on eBay that are cheaper. My friend got one but returned it because it was so flimsy and stiff. I love my vest and would recommend it to anyone!
