Have you seen these amazing horses? The gait is so cool how do they get them to shorten there gait like that or is it natural?

There are different types of Paso Finos. There are primarily 2 main countries or orgin, Puerto Rico and Colombia. The horses have 3 speeds of their gait. A small number of horses can Fino (This is very small steps extreememly fast moving forward very slowly.) These tend to be the superstars of the breed)

All Pasos can preform the other 2 speeds of gait, the corto which is comperable to an easy trot and Largo which is the speed form of the gait, which is anywhere from 12mph to 15mph or even faster, which they can sustain for any amount of time.

Pasos are amazing horses, they are sweet, gentle, intelligent, honest, willing and easy to train.

I have riden MANY different breeds but this is my last.

Yep, like everyone said, they're naturally gaited.

The one I rode was amazing! I've never felt anything that smooth before.

Haha, after riding non-gaited horses my entire life I was like  . I defiately would get a Paso if I had the room and money.
