We tried some moving about, and he loved it... stood proud, stretched a little, loved watching him :)

I like it too.. it kinda shows me he really feels good, he wants to play a little, stretch out, bend and enjoy the whole thing.. thats what we are working at now, to be happy even when I ask him to do things.. compared to 3 months ago when he only had energy when he got excited, I am happy to see him want to play and run about.. he is also the one that initiates games with the other one ;D

What breed is he (or she)?

Latvian harness (carriage, driving) horse, however they are a very volatile breed, depending on what the breeding percentages are. He is from the taller, stockier type - more used in driving, however even those show enough grace for dressage and agility for some jumping. With their calm characters they make great riding horses..

I finally attempted to measure him, and it seems he is about 16.2 hh (168-170 cm) I need to do a more accurate measuring, but this was just to finally know much tall they both are.. :D

I will definitely need a step ladder next year...

Beautiful! He will be mighty fancy in harness.

Did you mean Latvian harness horses are volatile - (explosive) or versatile - ( can do many things well)?

Sorry, I meant versatile.. I think I have a dyslexia coming on due to my cold. For the past 2 days I cannot read well or even spell or write my thoughts up correctly :D

however, sometimes he is a little volatile :D:D When he decides that the whip will eat him, or when he thinks there is a horse eating monster in the bush :D
