Repairing my saddle blanket...? It is at all possible? x.x I have a wool saddle blanket, forgot the brand but I can check today. It's a nice looking blanket, but it's torn now up by the top, on the right side. The tear is about an inch in a half or so long (it's probably shorter, I'm just going off general terrible memory here). The tear doesn't sit under the saddle, but I still fret about it. It's my only saddle blanket right now and I'm worried it will rub or otherwise cause irritation or become problematic. Could I repair this with some needle and thread? |
It sounds pretty minor. I should think you would be able to repair it. Whether or not it would look too pretty, I'm not sure. Otherwise I know (at least here) you can take it to your local tack shop? They can either fix it or send it in for you to get it fixed. |
So long as the torn place is not rubbing anywhere on the horse, it should be fine to fix it. Although you could probably get a new one for less than $50 at your local tack store. |
