Natural horse brushes VS synthetic
So I wanted to get other people's opinions on using natural fiber brushes verses synthetic plastic brushes.
This last spring I found a couple of great natural horse brushes at the MWHF and decided to give them a try. I had always thought a brush was a brush but since I got the new ones I don't think I can go back to synthetic.
The biggest thing I noticed was that the new brushes don't collect the grease and dirt the way my old synthetic ones did. My horses shine more now than they used to, I hardly ever find myself grabbing for the show sheen any more and people are commenting more on how my horses are so shiny.
Will they really hold up however. The place I got them said you can even get them wet to wash them when they do get dirty.
These are the brushes I have
Well, I have yet to come across a brush that is harmed from washing it.
I don't think a lot of that particular brand. The water brushes are OK but I dislike the body brushes immensely. I much prefer the leather backed body brushes.
I have two natural bristle brushes, they're my soft brushes and I find that they make my mare way shinier than the synthetic ones.

I have those brushed and I really like them. I have had mine for over a year now. They have been cleaned twice and show no harm. I do not let the wood backs soak in the water however. I do get them wet but do not leave the backs underwater in the bucket.
