I have never been to one of their auctions but it looks like they sell the high end carriages and wagons on Friday. On Saturday, they sell the vehicles that don't make it into the early consignment and more of the using type carts. If you've never been to an auction, I would suggest you go just to get your feet wet. See that type of stuff they have, how fast the pace is ect to get comfortable with the bidding process. Looks like it will be a fast chaotic auction with multiple rings going at one time. I always seem to miss what I'm waiting for running back and forth between 2 rings trying to keep track of stuff.

Wish our auctions had that much driving stuff.

Running from ring to ring is fun unless you want something in both rings.
If the program says vehicles on Friday. , then they will sell all vehicles on Friday. It will probably go late if you can make it Friday in the evening.
I've never been to martins but have spent many a night sleeping in my truck at Waverly Iowa sale.
You should go just to meet people and like lhp said get your feet wet and take pictures of course.

Altho I will never make it to an auction that far away, the first thing I do is try to pick out the shills. They are the false bidders who try to drive the prices up. Should a shill wind up the high bidder, the item just goes to the next auction. Shills are illegal and any reputable auction house won"t use them.
