Homeade coat and mane/tail conditioners

I'm looking for 'recipes' for good coat and mane/tail conditioners for horses. I've found this one and would like to try it-coconut oil, vegetable glycerin, essential oils, and water-but would love to hear what works best for you!

El cheapo dollar store human hair conditioner has worked the best so far and I've used almost every equine conditioner on the market, as I have been showing for over 30 years. I dilute it and put it a spray bottle for detangling, full strength on tails after washing (I braid/band manes so no conditioner). Some brands work better than others, I found one, sorry don't recall the brand, but it smells like bananas, that stuff is awesome.

I either use human hair conditioner or straight coconut oil

I was at a show last weekend and some one mentioned baby oil or coconut oil...

Know of anyone with a goat?

Equal parts of goats milk and water mixed in and sprayed on will condition, detangle mane & tail and put a luster and sheen unmatched on the coat...

REFRIGERATE THE UNUSED PORTION...it is milk and will curdle and spoil.

Watched a Paso Fino trainer/groom do this and asked...he had the most awesome horses to look at and so soft to touch!!

And NO, it doesn't make the horse smell bad either!!
