Growing babies.
I've had my filly for two months and she seems to have gotten bigger but silly me didn't bother to measure her until the other day. She is a 9 month old QH filly and is 12.2hh at the withers, 13hh at the highest point of her rump. Her sire is about 14.1, her dam about 14.3. This is my first baby, and I really have no idea what a normal growth rate is for one. So I guess I'm just wondering if she's sprouting up at a normal pace? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like she is progressing as planned  They are all a little rump high till they're about 2-3 yo

Very good to hear. I plan on measuring her once a month, since I can't actually SEE her grow when I see her every day. =]

Welcome to the awkward phase of a yearling! You will have tons of moments of optical illusions where she/he will be wither high then you turn around a couple months later and is rump high.. Kinda cute if you ask me! LOL! I had a little yearling colt that I wondered if he ever would get much taller as he stood at 12hh, then theres Ember who one her one year mark stood 14.2hh. Pretty much as long as they contniue to bounce from front to rear in height in their yearling phase, you are doing just fine!
