showing in hoof boots?

I just got a pair of Simple Boots for my baby Cotton, and he absollutly goes great in them! If you have been following, he is the one that was diagnosed with navicular. But now i know that his soles were bothering him since he is sound in the boots. It gives him relief all around. But my real question....are hoof boots allowed in showing? People have told me that they arent but thats kind of silly to me because they are like shoes to the barefoot horse. Of course they are definatly noticable, but they provied comfort for you horse. Any ideas???

When Nelson went barefoot for a short breif moment in time, there were a couple of events coming up.

While I know people event in them, and they are great for low levels - I just wanted to be sure. So I contacted the Show Secretary to find out for me if it was alright to use them.

Just make sure you ask the person in control of the show - or the judge before you do so.

It all depends on them.
