Paint to use on my horse? Help ASAP
So this weekend I'll be doing a High School Rodeo and the theme is breast cancer! Me and my partner thought it would be an amazing idea if we could paint the ribbon on our horses' rump! So I went to walmart (kind of in a hurry) and I bought pink paint! It was in the craft isle and it says its nontoxic. It's just that genuine brand that people use for paining all the time. I've read some things on Yahoo Answers that are good and some are bad. A lot of the answers that i read said that it would be fine but now I'm not feeling so sure as I read some other peoples comments. I most certainly don't want to hurt them so I need to check with some people that know some things about horses. The paint will be on no cuts, faces, rain rot, etc. Please please tell me if this is safe to use.
Here's a pic of the brand i used
You sure that is going to wash out???
Not all acrylic paint does you know?
Have you thought about "stage make-up".... they do paints for bodies... also washable hair dye that is gone on like 5 washes...
How about making a stencil and using wax livestock markers available at many feed stores,
"Pony Paints Horse Body Paint", Pony Paints Horse Body Paint
go to Walmart (again) and buy the stuff you put in your hair for Halloween to change colors...also the temporary hair paint sold in the hair care aisle should work and washout. As long as your horse isn't white and or super sensitive you should be OK with any of these...acrylic craft paint... that may not be easily if at all washed out.
Just make sure whatever you use is TEMPORARY not permanent dye or coloring!
