Well you can talk to me.

I have to myself. all I can say is they will become such a part of you.

Also here are some tips.

First get yourself a book on ferrets and read it. there is so much to learn and to be careful of.

First and foremost really child roof your house they can get into anything.
Also they love fruit loop ceral. But you have to be careful not to let them gorge themselves to much.

to disiplince biting just flick them under the chin. they will get teh idea after a while. a breeder taught me that one. because there noses are sensitve and can cause bleeding.

aslo be careful if you get the flu. they can catch it from you. they can alos die from it so becareful when you have the flu. But I also suggest you read up on some of there medical problems. just so you can keep an eye out. they are prone to cancer. my male has panceratic cancer. but to help him when he has a sesurie we give him honey water. he cancer is sort of like dieabites. But do take them to the vet for an annul check up.
it is worth the money

also don't use any kind of shaving. use corn bedding oe towels. they have sensitive skin and there noses are sensitive.
Also you will find it does not absorb there musk to much. also if you give them a bath once a week or if they start getting a bit muskie. just put a little bit of water in the tub. if you start them young they love it.

other then that you will grow to love them. if you have any other questions just message me. I am just glad to see another ferret owner:-)

I don't know a whole lot about Ferrets, but everyone Hubby and I have discussed Ferret Diets with - they all stress no sugars what-so-ever. I don't see how giving them Fruit Loops is appropriate, since Sugars lead to Cancer in critters like Ferrets, Rats etc, etc.

I would most definately do your research before you give them junk food. Ferrets are meat eaters, and they should only eat their Formulated Ferret Kibble only, with a rare meaty snack once in a while.

Also, Vitamin/Mineral liquid drops in their water is important as well.

There are many great Ferret Forums out there with great advice - and also discuss this with Small Animal Veterinarian - who KNOWS Ferrets well.

As for the Hyperness - our Ferrets sleep about 23 hours in a 24 hour day. I wish ours were more "active"

Aww they are adorable :) My parents wont let me have Ferret's because my dad thinks they are evil.. i beg to differ but apparently what they say goes! As parents do *rolls eyes*. My dad was fixing a friends Ferret pen (20yrs ago now!) which had a 'friendly' pet ferret in it, and the little thing latched on to the skin between his thumb and finger and wouldnt let go!

So yeah, no ferrets in my house! But they ARE just adorable, so maybe when i move out :D
Just a quick question, do they get along with other animals? Like dogs and cats and birds etc? or are they a little feisty/territorial?

All I have to say is Obligate Carnivore. Ferrets are not made to eat anything but meat. Its like feeding a horse a steak every night.
