English Pleasure?

So I'm in FFA and we recently had our first competition.. I got my results back (38th place out of 288 kids!:-)) but what I noticed that I really suffered in my English pleasure judging.. I'm a western rider and I've shown, but I really don't know anything about English pleasure.. Can you guys tell me what I should look for, tips, tricks, how it looks, everything? Thanks!

English pleasure is that everything should like easy/gentle, is the simplest way I could describe it

Horse should be a pleasure to ride. It should look you can ride English effortlessly and be enjoying your ride.

If you're talking about english pleasure on the flat... i can help lots! It's a lot of the same principals as western pleasure, with it seeming effortless and easy, a pleasure to ride! In english, the horse's head must be down and they must have a nice, long stride. The reins shouldn't be loopy, but you should have just enough contact to get the job done. For more "breed show" english pleasure, that head should be DOWN. But for open shows, just level or a little lower should be absolutely good. I once got a second with my dressage-type pony with a "giraffe neck" in a small pleasure class! This is pretty much what they're looking for:
