Sky Blue Walker daughter

I have the chance to buy a 12 year old daughter of Sky Blue Walker really really cheap. She is not breeding sound and has not been ridden since 2009 until the lady who has her now had someone on her.

I really don't need another horse but really love the looks of this mare and would love to give her a home.

The catch? She also wants to give me a TB mare that has bonded with her. I don't want the TB pretty as she is. I don't breed just want this gorgeous bay mare.

Would it be horribly wrong to bring them both home and than sell the TB?

Well I board my horses and I don't want to pay board on a horse I don't want to use.

WickedNag, the QH mare you have a chance at is related to our boy on his dam's side (Walkers Maggie Mae Quarter Horse)

So she is related to Sky Blue Walker. He is really a nice boy... I am sure you have a really nice mare

He is one of the nicest boyz... As people I ride with comment, he is 'just Chuck' and that is a compliment as he can be ridden often or left alone for a while and it takes A LOT to phase him.

I've attached a pix.

<back to the topic at hand> <good luck with your decision>

I see I was reading to fast and read mare and now realize you meant the mare I am looking at... dang *sighs* I like Just Chuck! He is a good looking boy!

NP!

Thanks for the kind words. He is really sweet and I would have never looked at him if my husband hadn't spied him being worked across the very large outdoor riding area where I was trying out another horse. Next thing I know, DH is getting up on Chuck to take him for a ride and he hadn't been on a horse in over 40 years. The boy just was awesome when I took our trainer to see him, too. The winds were blowing at over 50 mph and things were flying against the barn. Chuck spooked in place once and my trainer said 'if all things work out (from a prepurchase perspective +) and you like this horse, I would get him because of how he just reacted'. We did and that was over 6 years ago. Chuck will be 12 early next year.

Chuck looks huge! This mare is suppose to be 16.2-16.3. That is the only picture I have of her under saddle. I can see a video of her being rode not long ago but it is not one I can share. It is on the sellers fb page.
