Big Boy is so handsome! Those are some very artistic photos of him. :D I really like the eye shots. Those flowers are so pretty! The color of them are so vibrant. What kind of camera are you using? |
What kind of camera are you using? It seems to do decently well on closer photos (perhaps with a macro button?), but when you move further away, it seems to lose some contrast and clarity--that 'crisp' that separates good cameras from great ones. ;) When you take pictures of your horse, make sure the sun is shining on him, and the sun is behind your back when you take the photo. The first picture he looks shiny and bright; when you took a picture of his neck and that pretty braid in his mane, he looks dull and full of shadows. Over all, nice pictures and keep snapping! ;) |
Thank so much. I use an Olympus stylus 850sw. It's a simple generic point and shoot camera with some macro features. Nothing great but it works for now. I've been dying to get my hands on something better though. I'll definitely remember that little sun trick next time I'm messing around with some pictures. |
Royal Affair, The quality of light is everything to a photograph. Shoot from dawn to one hour after dawn, and 1.5 hours before sunset to one hour after sunset. Overhead sunlight is harsh on the subject, causing deep shadows on the face. Sleep, ride, and clean stalls the rest of the day. EPMhorse |
that braid is so awesome!! how do you do that!!! nice pics by the way :) |
Thank you EPMHorse, I'm going out tonight, so i'll bring my camera and see what I can do with better lighting. Boxer, it's a running braid. Basically it's just a french braid down the length of the horses neck. I'm sure you can find a video on youtube to show you better than I can explain it. |
