He'd make a good bronc horse!
He'd make a good bronc horse if he bucked while you were on him!! lol!! Onyx has never bucked or offered to buck, rear, bolt or any such thing while riding him witch is pretty good i would say for a green broke horse that was never ridden before i got him!! :-) These pic's were taken after i rode him for about 45mins, he was perfect as always!! enjoy!! he's a dork!! :-)
He's been at the trainers for almost 30 days now for ground work. He was abused in the past and has alot of issues, before i sent him to the trainer it took me about an hour to get his show halter on him, thankfully not as long for a bridle, He would try and bolt when you sprayed him with fly spray, didnt lunge on a line very well, scared of everyone but me. So after 30 days it takes maybe 5mins to get his show halter on (its VERY dangeley and shinny), he will stand while sprayed, still a little wherry when there alot of people around but much better!! :-) I have had him for a few month before he went to a trainer. When i first got him he was a HUGE pain. couldn't catch him very easily (after a week or two no issues), if you went to just huge him he was like OMG! (he now LOVES hugs and kisses), very uneasy in the barn (no issues now). so he's come along way! Also i rode him the other day in front of the trainer and she was really surprised at how diffrent he is, While riding he doesn't pull any bull at all (im truly not kidding), responds really well to leg que's, is very relaxed, has yet to spook at anything. So i think someone really messed him up on the ground. I work full time (normally about 12 hours a day, 5 days a week) witch is why i thought it best to send onyx to a trainer and he will be there at LEAST another 30 days, maybe even 60 days. and she will be working with him more on the ears, giving him a bath, and clipping. As well as start riding him. Okay here's pics!!
After his little jump around fest:
hahaha. great pics. hes a beauty, love how dark his is, but lightens up a little around his bum.
Haha that's awesome!
I got some of that like of my Khoda.
He's a beautiful boy, though!
Stallion or gelding?
One question as well - Where do you buy your show halters?
I get my halters from Arabian Fancy Halters and tack.
Awww he's very pretty
handsome boy. Hes like duchess, bucks and rears when i work with the saddle on, but no bull when i ride her.
