Tack Trunks

I'm needing to buy a tack trunk and I'm not sure what type to get.

Could anyone who has a tack trunk post a picture and what they payed for it. Also, what company they bought it from. That would be amazing.

I'm trying to see which kinds I like the best and what's worth the money. :D

- vinyl, finished wood, unfinished wood, hand painted... anything would be great to see.

Mine isn't FOR tack. it does the job! It's huge, Has wheels, a handle, and a lifetime guarantee for $100. I got mine at a hardware/tool store (Northern Tool)

Sorry, I don't have a pic of it, but mine's a toolbox as well. I've fit my Abetta and my All purpose in it together, with pads, bridles, horse boots, all my grooming supplies and fly equipment in it at once before. I think the brand is DeWalt, but the specific model has been discontinued since I got mine. I think I paid around $50 for it at Lowe's, but that was discounted because it was a little scuffed and had sink faucets stored in it (What the heck??). Cleaned up beautifully and works like a charm!

Honestly, if you end up wanting a wood one, you should make it yourself. The quality on the wooden tack trunks are usually so horrible - Plywood even. You could make a much nicer one for way cheaper.

Mine's a locker, but I thought I'd post it:

My grandfather built me an awesome tack trunk about 15 years ago and it is still in the same condition as it was when he first built it. I got the directions from an issue of practical horseman. It was the last thing he ever built. I will never get rid of it. Even if I don't have horses (I have carted it around from AZ-Hawaii in the 7 years I have been married without horses) I would never get rid of it. I will have to take pictures and post. It is my most prized possession.

I have this one, and I believe there is a few other people on this forum that also have this (there was a similar thread not too long ago). I bought it at Home Depot for around $70 and it is perfect.
