Pentacam (sp?) vs Hock Injecting
I recently had the vet out after noticing some stiffness in Primo. Mostly through the hocks and stifles. His xrays came back with some mild arthritic changes. My experience with my vet is she is injection happy, which she freely admits to.

I do have another vet coming in for a second opinion but have been asking around about other options.

Many people are recommending Pentacim (sp) as an alternative, saying they've had great results. It not only relieves the pained joint but may help others we weren't aware of.

Has anyone used this product? Have they had similar results as to what I'm hearing. If both vets are adamant on injecting, then so be it, but I'd like to have an educated decision.

Its been a Lifesaver for my girl.

she is only 6, and at 5 have a horriffic injury/illness that she nearly died from. The vets did not give a good outcome for her. said she'd maybe be sound for a trail horse when all was said and done.

shes now riding. 100% sound. and in training for speed events.

she has come a long way. without rest, meds and supplements, she would not be here.

here is a summary...

yes, it has been.

Im not against hock injections, but to me, thats a last resort. injecting into the joint is tricky. and I feel once you start, its a forever thing.

One day Rumor will need her hocks injected, im sure, but, the longer i can put it off the better. I have no knowledge of them what-so-ever, and what im doing well for her. :D
