I hate speed rackers. And this is hard on the horse to boot.

The only thing I could think was, what if the horse tripped? I think both horse and rider would be seriously injured or dead.

It's definitely impressive and looks like a smooth ride, too.

I kind of wondered about that. it seems like the concussive forces would be tremendous. you see folks doing it on concrete, too!

Yes, it's natural. Not quite at that speed but it is natural. Morgans are known for it occasionally. Might be a few other breeds too. Saddlebreds can be taught to rack. Which I've come to understand is a much faster version of a single-foot gait.
