Dakota finally ate all his slop!

After he only ate about half of his feed yesterday, I soaked Dakotaís alfalfa pellets today into a fine mush before mixing his corn throughout... He ate it all!

Granted, he got mush everywhere... on him, on his halter and lead, on ME... But Iím really happy because he finally ate it all. Of course, I had to stand there with him because whenever I walked away he kinda drifted off to the grass, but at least he ate it all. Starting today, Iím going to start soaking all his and my mareís feed.

Nelson wont eat mush no matter how hard I try to get him to. When he choked he was supposed to be on a strict diet of only soupy mush - and he wouldn't touch it.

He's now on a diet that includes Vegitable Oil and I accidently poured too much into his Tripple Crown Senior....and he wouldn't touch it...*mumbes profanities* so I had to dump out his expensive feed and re-do it without the excessive oil...then he gobbled it up.

Annoying....he's a picky eater. Be happy yours isn't!

thats good,I know my horse prefers his alfafia cubes soaked they dont care for it dry.

Yeah... My mare doesn't care if it's 'slop' or dry as long as she gets it... Dakota doesn't care if its sweet feed, but apparently he cares if it's anything else. He had no problems wolfing it down, either. I'm glad that my problem is solved as well... Lol.
