Many horses LOVE to be scratched there.

Aero loves having under her chin, on her cheek and up around her ears scratched - as well as her rump.

Diamond and Rowdy LOVED to be scratched behind the ears. I guess it really depends on the horse, ans where they like it.

Be careful scratching some mare (in season) at the withers. Thats where the stallions will bit them during breeding. Some mares will get very mad  Just an FYI not true on all mares. :D
All mine like their ears scratched inside and out. Around and under the tail and down the back legs. Its really embarrassing when a non-horse person sees me scratching their butts :lol:

Your horse will have the look on his face of sheer ecstacty. Lol.
Lip sticking up, stretching neck, starting to relax and drop head, etc.
