Breed Likes and Dislikes
 

This just came to me randomly, but now I'm curious.
Five common breeds are listed below. Copy and paste, and erase my answers. Write what you like and dislike about each breed (preferably based on experiences!)

Thoroughbred -
Likes: Beautiful athletes, great endurance horses. Very lovely to watch.
Dislikes: Tend to be high strung and unpredictable (more so than other breeds). To wily for my own good!

Quarter Horse -
Likes: Wonderful mover, very smart cow horses.
Dislikes: Too small and stocky undersaddle for me.

Paint -
Likes: Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Very elegant looking, too.
Dislikes: Hm............. I can't think of any, to be honest!

Arabian -
Likes: Tons of energy, great show horses. Seem to glow in the arena!
Dislikes: Way too high-strung for me!

Welsh Pony -
Likes: Adorable. Often seen as a child's pony. Very cute, very sweet.
Dislikes: Often in-bred with bad bloodlines.

Thoroughbred -
Likes: FAST, gorgeous, tall
Dislikes: Super skinny, i just dont like them in general.

Quarter Horse -
Likes: Awesome barrel horses!, stocky
Dislikes:nothing!

Paint -
Likes: Beautiful, smart
Dislikes: some times moody

Arabian -
Likes: dished faces, nice movers, can do anything, smart
Dislikes: braty

Welsh Pony -
dont know bout em

Thoroughbred -
Likes: Intelligent, lots of heart, pretty, quick
Dislikes: Not bred to last

Quarter Horse -
Likes: Versatile, willing, loyal, hardworking, athletic
Dislikes: Not fond of the "showing" quarter horses.

Paint -
Likes: Neat looking! Many of the same features of QHs
Dislikes: I prefer a solid coloured horse

Arabian -
Likes: Challenging, Independent, Smart, Lovely Movement
Dislikes: Seem to get into everything

Welsh Pony -
Likes: Versatile, cute
Dislikes: Seems they're either really awesome, or really horrible

Thoroughbred:
Like: Fast, Athletic
Dislike: Their builds. I don't find them very attractive.

Quarter Horse:
Like: Versatility, Builds, Gentle temperments, Loyal, Stockiness, Athletic, Very Intelligent
Dislike: The halter horse bred ones. And the fact that all the QHs seem to be related to each other.

Paint:
Like: Well, the coloring of course!
Dislike: The fact that they won't seperate the paints from the AQHA!!

Arabian:
Like: Their movement
Dislike: EVERYTHING else. The dished heads, the fact that they have one less vertebrate, their builds, etc. etc. etc. etc. their flightyness, etc etc.

Welsh Pony:
Like: Their builds, they are CUTE, a very versitale breed
Dislike: Some come with that "pony" attitude. :P

They have the APHA?

Thoroughbred:
Like: Athletic, when in work and good shape are very attractive.
Dislike: Often difficult keepers, injury prone, not very practical riding horses in my opinion (high maintenance)

Quarter Horse:
Like: Easy keepers, Agile, Fast, Stocky, cattle sense.
Dislike: Halter bred QH, the fact that any with any cattle potential cost a bajillion dollars, the geneitc diseases they refuse to breed out.

Paint:
Like: Awesome colouring! Many fo the same as the QH
Dislike: That a lot fo people breed for colour ONLY, resulting in a lot of low quality paints.

Arabian:
Like: Loyalty, heart, edurance.
Dislike: The fact that if not trained in a specific way most are hard to handle/not very good for much except endurance. With the right handling though they are great.

Welsh Pony:
Like: CUTE! fast, easy keepers.
Dislike: Attitude, susceptibility to founder.

Yes, but the AQHA and APHA are allowing this double registered crap, even though the APHA people want the paint to be considered its own little breed, yet they can't seperate themselves from the AQHA for some reason..

Like: They are good athletic all-purpose horses.
Dislike: Often very injury-prone.

Quarter Horse:
Like: Easy keepers, with good muscle and cow-sense.
Dislike: Teensy feet on huge bodies. Yuck. That can't be good..

Paint:
Like: Gorgeous, relatively good-natured. Stocky.
Dislike: Not much

Arabian:
Like: Endurance, good looks, heart.
Dislike: Not much. I hate the 'sea-horse' look :P

Welsh Pony:
Like: Super cute and speedy. Make good jumpers.
Dislike: Can be TOO speedy at times..

Dislike: tiny dish shaped heads, thin bones, hot hot hot attitudes

Welsh Pony:
Like: Nothing
Dislike: Attitudes!
