I didn't know she could bend that way!

My husband and I went out to worm the horses on Monday. As we were getting everything situated (2 people vs 3 very nosey horses) Vega goes from standing on 4 legs, to taking her one back leg and scratching her head with it. she reminded me of a dog

It was an awkward, yet cool thing to see.

I've seen photos/statues of foals doing something similar but I always thought it was just because they are quite a bit smaller and I thought more flexible. I have never seen a horse doing that until Monday.

Has anyone ever seen their horse do something they didn't think it could go?

Teehee, my horse can eat treats off his own butt!

Yup! I've seen both do this and gotta agree it does look very awkward.

yep i've seen both stormy and comanche do it....but god forbid you ask stormy to bend at the neck because the lazy ding-dong thinks she isnt flexible enough.

There is this little appalosa in the field with my boy. He is always scratching his face with his back feet. It is funny to watch.
