Equine Massage/Chiropractic Certification length
I am going to college for Equine Science and then I plan on applying to Vet School however I want to get a background in massage because I am really interested in it.
Hopefully vet school will work out! If it does I want to get board certified in nutrition and sports med. but I want to be able to use my massage knowledge and interest to help boost my assets as a vet.
My question: How much time should I take to get certified???
I am going to be in school for about 9 years assuming vet school works out. I want this to be an addition to my knowledge not a career in itself. I want to understand it and feel confident using it, but I don't want to spend so much time getting certified that it adds a lot of extra time to my college sentence (don't get me wrong I am loving school but I have a limit :-p ). I know there are week long certifications, 4 weeks, months.
If vet school does not work out my plan is to focus on nutrition and massage and find a job somewhere. But right now I just want to get a taste for it be able to use it and use it confidently.
Opinions on what is a fair amount of time to take to do this?
Equine massage can take a couple of weeks to be certified in. You could do it in between semesters if you had the cash and get to work

I want to get certified in level 1, 2 & 3. It all depends on how driven you are. Two of my friends are cert in level 1 & 2. One took only a couple months for both, the case studies are the long part, and the other took almost a year for his. He wasn't very ambitious.
