My horse is limping
My 25 +/- yr.old stallion, Sonny, that I took in as a rescue back in April. He has gained probably about 150lbs.(You can read his story in Horse story thread and there are pics.)I have notice a couple of weeks ago he was limping, not lame really, but its his right rear leg, well it only happened a couple of times for about 2 days, then he was ok.Well I noticed he is limping again today and its worse. What I can see is it is almost in his hip, that area just doesnt look right when he walks its almost like he is dragging that leg but he's not. It's kinda hard to explain.I'll see if I can get a video of him. I was wondering about founder, I dont exactly know what it is or if it could even be that, Any suggestions??? I have put alot into him and dont want anything to happen to him.He is on MSM and purina equine senior feed,1 scoop,2x's a day.He is also 100% retired, he will rear if you ride him,so I figure just let him live his life happy in my pasture. So if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, thanks and I will call the vet tomorrow.
