how does he react when you go in a two point? the two point will help put your legs in the right position and will help strengthen your legs for the english position

okay well thats very good, i have a qh that was orignally trained western and would stop as soon as i got in a two point. i would def work alot in your two point cantering around this will help you get ur legs in a the position and let her get use 2 it! i hope this helps some

Ride bareback more.

you should try a dressage exercise my instructor makes us do to keep out legs down and under our hip pocket, while trotting (you might want to start at the walk first) take one foot out of the stirrup and grab your ankle with your hand so that your knee is bent. this helps keep your thigh in the right position. hope this helps!!

I would agree with .Delete. Ride bareback more. It helps with building balance.
